Tax Relief Questions
How does IRS Fresh Start work?
When you call or submit a request online, we’ll connect you with tax professionals who will provide a free consultation and explain your available options for resolving your tax problem(s).
How much can I save using your service?
Every tax situation is unique, so we cannot guarantee a specific savings amount. Once your free consultation is complete, your tax advisor should be able to provide an estimate based on the specifics of your case.
What does my free consultation cover?
During your free consultation, a tax specialist will learn more about your tax case and discuss the relief programs available to you. You will also receive a quote for services, but there is no obligation to purchase.
How long will the process take?
Most cases are typically resolved in 3 to 12 months. However, several things may slow the process, including delays in getting requested documents and the response time from the IRS or state tax authority. Rest assured we will resolve your case as quickly as possible.
What type of tax professionals do you work with?
We partner with top-rated tax relief professionals from across the United States. This includes tax advisors, licensed tax preparers, CPAs, enrolled agents, and tax attorneys.
Can you get my tax debt forgiven?
We’ll be honest, very few people qualify to have their entire tax debt forgiven. However, it may be possible to have some of your tax debt reduced through penalty abatement or an Offer in Compromise.
What are my options if I don’t qualify for tax forgiveness?
In most cases, we can help you get into an affordable payment plan. Some clients may also qualify for Currently Not Collectible status.
Do I have to pay for your services in full upfront?
No. We understand that our clients are already dealing with financial hurdles, so we only require a small deposit to move forward with services. Our partners also offer financing options to help keep monthly payments low.
Can I request a payment plan or Offer in Compromise on my own?
Yes! Our services are specifically for those who don’t feel comfortable navigating tax laws on their own or want an experienced tax professional negotiating on their behalf. If you want to proceed alone, you can find many resources on IRS.gov.
